Things that are unbelievable (but sadly totally believable) about this must-read article:

• That this issue is almost totally unknown and never discussed. I’d never read a thing about it until today.
• That Republicans, but really any politicians, would put their Tort Reform platform before taking care of Active Duty Soldiers and Veterans rights.
• Seriously, fixing this would be a political slam dunk, why is no one stepping to the plate?
• It’s really not surprising, I guess, that members of the armed forces have less access to traditional institutions of justice than private citizens, given that their complaints are typically handled in crazy military courts. But civil suits should really be another matter.
• Seriously, who takes a position that hurts war widows? That is just uncanny.
